You Can Help Change a kid's life!

Tennessee Youth Rugby Foundation and You

The Tennessee Youth Rugby Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) Not-for-Profit and was created to give the community of Rugby a way to help both grow the game and help those most in need. Consider joining us in our mission to support and serve.

Why Rugby?

Rugby is the "father" of American Football and the "son" of European Football.  It is the perfect merger of fitness, controlled contact, and sports IQ (decision-making),   In Rugby there are no pads, so we work diligently on "removing" the "head" from the tackle.  This translates for those players who play American Football in the fall in ways that are immeasurable.

Rugby has used "concussion protocols" since its inception in Middle TN (since 2001).  This was long before other sports were requiring "return to play" forms.  Forward thinking like this separates Rugby in its culture and its attention to the needs of our youth.  Their futures are the primary focus of our Coaches, Supporter's, and Administrators.

Rugby is a community like no other.  We have created this unique Not-for-Profit organization which allows local programs to raise funds they need to grow smartly and help their base locally.  In addition we have increased our "Outreach" for players all across the State.  We support the State and Regions' All-Star Programs so that those young people who are in financial need are not disadvantaged in gaining the exposure to higher level Rugby and the "way forward" it can give them through both Collegiate exposure and playing at the next level.

How Can I Help?

There are basically two ways to help.  With your time or with your financial donation(s).  We are always in need of qualified and experienced former Rugby players (or enthusiasts) who are willing to coach and help change a young person's life in a positive direction.  We are also always in need of financial support to reach our annual goals and future goals for independence from facility use limitations, education, and scholarship needs.
